A Kenya-born drummer, who also plays guitar, author, poet, lyricist, award-winning songwriter, music producer, award-winning game designer at Games Above Board who, when time and tide allow, does long-distance, blue-water sailboat deliveries.

1st September 2023, having won 9 Akademia Songwriting Awards since 2015, The Akademia Board awarded Martin their highest honour, an important lifetime achievement, by officially inducting him into The Akademia Hall Of Fame

January 2020, written and recorded by Martin, 'Can't Stay Mad', was aired by Tom Robinson on The BBC Introducing Mixtape show in London on BBC Radio 6 Music who said, "I love that!".
July 2020, the song won the July 2020 Akademia Music Best Pop Song Award in Los Angeles.

Having played a week at the original Liverpool Cavern Club in 1970, he is proud of his band's commemorative brick, 20 rows directly above 'John', in the Cavern Wall of Fame.

December 2013... Martin formed The New Revolution, a three-piece covers-only band, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

1977 Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, Martin was drummer in Bright Eye Band and opened the 9th and most memorable Diamond Head Crater Sunshine Festival.  August 21st 1977, they played 'A Beach'n Concert' in Kailua Beach Park.
