Born to play the drums much to my folks' dismay

it's what I did for many moons and still do today

my first gig was in kindergarten leading All The King's Men

unfortunately for him they couldn't put Humpty together again

my first paid gig was jazz tho' not quite my thing

played my heart out (I always do) and believe me I can swing

performed in concert played on stage

recording studios and broadcast 'live'

oft toured on the road and booked on the bill of many a dive

who would think an extinct volcano on the Hawaiian island Oahu

yes in Diamond Head Crater I've played that venue too

Americana reggae rock 'n' roll pop rock R&B

it's all music to my ears one and the same to me

my drums of choice are Ludwig cymbals are Paiste (PY-stee)

and not to beat around the bush they sound superb to me

with as perfect a meter as any man can mete

I drum to the march of my very own beat

and a commemorative brick with my band's name

I'm proud to say is 20 rows above 'John' (Lennon)

in the Liverpool Cavern Wall of Fame
