Bending Time

Consider the hands of a clock

at different speeds sublime

they travel round the dial

but keep equal time

born a drummer performed on drums all my life

with a somewhat similar trait

playing slower or faster tempos with my hands

never too early nor too late

perfectly keeping pace

all at the self-same beat

as the one single solid tempo

played with my feet

and unless some weird form of jazz

tho' no miracle musical breakthrough

consensus of opinion 'pon such repercussion

all totally useless it is too

then again

on second thoughts it may atone

if methinks my brain was born

with a mind of its own
